10月23日，老王集乡、大仵乡分别举行撤乡设镇揭牌仪式。
近年来，老王集乡、大仵乡党委政府稳步推进现代农业发展，统筹实施农村集中居住，大力改善基础条件，积极培育特色产业，经济社会呈现出加快发展、欣欣向荣的良好态势。日前，省政府正式批复同意老王集乡为老王集镇、大仵乡为朱襄镇。
