近日，湖人女老板珍妮-巴斯在播客上透露，她的父亲杰里-巴斯曾在大约20年前拒绝出售湖人，当时他得到的一份报价是10亿美元。现在，湖人的最新估值是59亿美元， 美媒调侃，如今他们肯定100亿都不舍得卖。
“我的父亲，我都记得他第一次收到关于湖人的报价，是在2003年还是2004年，我们拿到三连冠之后。他当时对此（10亿报价）感到非常震惊，他无法想象这支球队会值那么多钱。”
