据美国消费者新闻与商业频道７月３０号报道，东南亚国家最近开始采用一项新的区域性跨境支付系统，该系统或将深化其成员国之间的金融一体化，使东盟更接近其经济团结的目标。据了解，新的支付系统允许用户使用二维码和数字钱包以成员国的货币支付商品和服务费用，而不需要美元作为中介，涉及到的费用和汇率将由成员国央行自行商定。
