截至2022年底，江西全省60周岁及以上常住老年人口已达806.51万人，老龄化率达17.81%。全省现有养老机构1788家、床位数18.4万张；建成社区嵌入式养老院430余家、社区日间照料中心3974个、老年助餐点1394家；建有农村互助养老服务设施1.49万个，覆盖88%的行政村。
