据印媒报道，6月9日，印度外长苏杰生表示，印度不会接受美国邀请其加入“北约+”国家集团的提议，他指出，北约模式不适用于印度。
报道称，此前美国国会的美中战略竞争特别委员会建议把印度纳入“北约+”机制，理由是在中美关系恶化的背景下，需要加强安全。
