刚刚，三位华人科学家当选英国皇家学会院士！

当地时间2023年5月10日，英国皇家学会公布了新当选的院士名单，三位华人科学家当选，其中南洋理工大学的杰出大学教授高华建当选院士，中科院过程工程研究所李静海院士和美国西北大学教授黄永刚则当选外籍院士。

高华健出生于四川成都，1982年毕业于西安交通大学，1988年在哈佛大学获得博士学位。固体力学家，主要研究领域是工程和生物系统中控制材料的机械性能和行为的基本原理。美国国家工程院院士、科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士，德国国家科学院院士，欧洲科学院院士美国布朗大学终身教授。

李静海，山西省静乐人，中国科学院院士，博士生导师。1982年毕业于哈尔滨工业大学，1987年获中国科学院化工冶金研究所博士学位。主要从事多尺度方法和颗粒流体两相复杂系统研究，致力于气固两相系统的计算机仿真和多相复杂系统的研究。1999年当选中国科学院院士，2003年当选第三世界科学院院士，2006年当选瑞士工程院外籍院士，2011年当选英国皇家工程院院士，2012年当选澳大利亚工程院外籍院士。2004年2月至2016年12月，任中国科学院副院长、党组成员，曾任第八届国家自然科学基金委主任。

黄永刚，1962年11月出生于北京，1984年毕业于北京大学，1990年获得美国哈佛大学博士学位。固体力学家，主要研究领域为研究材料和电子器件的力学行为。欧洲科学与艺术院院士、美国国家工程院院士、欧洲科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士、美国国家科学院院士、美国艺术与科学院院士，美国西北大学机械工程、土木与环境工程、材料科学与工程教授。

成立于1663年的英国皇家学会是全世界历史最悠久、且唯一未中断过运行的科学学会，自1915年以来，英国皇家学会的历任会长都是诺贝尔奖金获得者，而包括牛顿、达尔文、麦克斯韦和爱因斯坦等著名科学家都曾是该学会院士。现有1600余名院士，均是世界最杰出的科学家。英国皇家学会每年都会宣布新当选院士名单，以表彰他们在科学、工程和技术领域的终身成就。

今年有59名院士、19名外籍院士和两名荣誉院士当选，主要来自英联邦国家的20多个研究机构，而外籍院士则来自中国、日本、芬兰和南非等国家。
