1955年，一名大尉军官在照相馆拍下的照片，镜头中他神情严肃端坐笔直，双眼中流露出一丝杀气，看起来是久经沙场的老军人了。
当时大尉军衔一般是授予，在抗战时期就担任营长级别的干部的，或者说是走过草地的红军老战士，当时有很多红军老战士因为种种原因或者是因为文化程度不高，一直都是普通战士的身份，1955年时，导致连授予少尉军衔的要求都不够。
