此次地震是2月6日第三次大震，此前已发生两次，分别为7.8级和6.7级。
02月06日09时17分在土耳其（北纬37.15度，东经36.95度）发生7.8级地震，震源深度20千米。
09时28分在土耳其（北纬37.35度，东经36.85度）发生6.7级地震，震源深度20千米。
