据中国航天科技集团消息，1月23日（农历大年初二）21时31分，西安卫星测控中心宣布研制的亚太6E卫星与独立推进舱星间分离成功。在发射成功10天后，亚太6E这颗国产全电推进同步轨道通信卫星正式开启了电推变轨的旅程。
