2022年以来，太行山国家级自然保护区济源段，金钱豹、林麝等多种国家一级保护动物频频现身，利用红外相机捕捉到金钱豹的影像资料就达56次。
近年来，当地通过科学修复退化湿地，持续改善生态环境，野生动物种群和数量不断增加，生物多样性得到有效保护。
