“一带一路”英文翻译是什么呢?

在讲“一带一路”的英文翻译之前，我们得知道什么是“一带一路”。

“一带一路”（The Belt and Road，缩写B&R）是“丝绸之路经济带”和“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的简称，2013年9月和10月由中国国家主席习近平分别提出建设“新丝绸之路经济带”和“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的合作倡议。

依靠中国与有关国家既有的双多边机制，借助既有的、行之有效的区域合作平台，一带一路旨在借用古代丝绸之路的历史符号，高举和平发展的旗帜，积极发展与沿线国家的经济合作伙伴关系，共同打造政治互信、经济融合、文化包容的利益共同体、命运共同体和责任共同体。

2015年9月23日，据国家发改委消息，国家发展改革委会同外交部、商务部等部门对“一带一路”英文译法进行了规范。

一、在对外公文中，统一将“丝绸之路经济带和21世纪海上丝绸之路”的英文全称译为“the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”，“一带一路”简称译为“the Belt and Road”，英文缩写用“B&R”。

二、“倡议”一词译为“initiative”，且使用单数。不使用“strategy”、“project”、“program”、“agenda”等措辞。

3、 考虑到“一带一路”倡议一词出现频率较高，在非正式场合，除首次出现时使用英文全称译文外，其简称译法可视情况灵活处理，除可使用“the Belt and Road Initiative”外，也可视情使用“the land and maritime Silk Road initiative”。其他译法不建议使用。
