当地时间12月3日，俄罗斯国防部长绍伊古在明斯克会见白俄罗斯国防部长赫列宁时表示，白俄罗斯一直是俄罗斯最可靠的伙伴，俄方高度评价白俄罗斯反对美国及其盟国的决心。绍伊古表示，俄白两国将联合行动，确保俄白联盟的军事安全。
当天，白俄罗斯国防部宣布，白俄罗斯和俄罗斯已经签署了在军事领域联合保障地区安全的协议。
