1968年8月19日，中国社会科学院考古研究所在河北省满城县，完成西汉中山靖王刘胜墓及王后窦绾墓的发掘工作。出土文物包括“金缕玉衣”、“长信宫灯”、“错金博山炉”等著名器物。
满城汉墓的发掘，为研究西汉时期的政治、经济、军事和文件科学技术提供了重要的实物资料，充分体现了古代汉族劳动人民的勤劳和智慧。
