5月20日，36岁的乌国防部情报局局长基里诺-布达诺夫少将接受《华尔街日报》采访时说: ″乌克兰将继续战斗，直到所有俄罗斯军队被驱逐出乌克兰领土！″
布达诺夫还表示: ″除了1991年的边界，我不知道任何其它的边界！″这实际上就排除了双方在2014年实控线基础上停火的可能性！
