5月20日，小鹏汽车对此前网传的毁约校招生事项进行了回应。小鹏汽车方面告诉《每日经济新闻》记者，近期，由于部分部门岗位调整与绩效优化，涉及了少量应届毕业生和相关员工的调整，小鹏汽车会继续沟通，妥善处理。
小鹏汽车方面表示，2021年初至今，小鹏汽车新增员工超1万人，其中已入职的应届毕业生约1600人，待入职的应届毕业生约900人，预计在今年7月规模到岗。
