8月31日讯，小米公司微博发文称，加入开源专利社区OIN。开放的OIN社区以免费的形式进行Linux系统专利交叉许可授权，从而对核心Linux技术和相关的开源技术实施专利保护。OIN许可免费向所有同意不向Linux系统行使其专利权的会员开放。
