素有漫画界奥斯卡之称的美国埃斯纳漫画大奖颁奖礼7月23日在美国举行，其中2项大奖同时被日本惊悚漫画家伊藤润二夺得，这也是日本作家首次同时拿到2项大奖。
·《埃斯纳漫画产业奖（The Will Eisner Comic Industry Award）》是美国最著名的漫画奖，始办于1987年，有“漫画界的奥斯卡”之称。埃斯纳奖中的亚洲区部门以在美国翻译出版的亚洲漫画、连环画为评审对象。
·伊藤润二的漫画作品《地狱星》夺得了《最优秀亚洲作品奖（Best U.S. Edition of International Material-Asia）》，而《伊藤润二短篇集BEST OF BEST》则同时夺得了《Best Writer / Artist》大奖。
