7月15日上午，武汉首条全自动运行线路地铁5号线开始对信号系统、车辆系统、综合监控系统、通信系统等各系统进行联调联试。
武汉地铁5号线起于中医药大学站，止于武汉火车站，线路全长33.57公里，全线设站25座，其中换乘站10座。
