2021年6月10日，加拿大核技术创新研究所（Nuclear Innovation Institute）宣布启动一项新研究，评估核能制氢的技术可行性，研究商业案例。
该研究将由加拿大Arcadis公司牵头，加拿大核技术创新研究所、布鲁斯电力公司（Bruce Power）及Greenfield Global公司提供支持。
