郑孝胥，福建闽县人，字苏戡。光绪八年举人，历任驻日使馆书记官和神户领事、广西边防大臣、广东按察使、湖南布政使。入民国居上海，鬻书自给。工诗，善隶书，兼善画松。海上著名书家之一。
