根据第七次全国人口普查结果，2021年5月11日，国家统计局网站将2020年11月1日零时我国大陆31个省、自治区、直辖市的常住人口有关数据予以公布。与2010年第六次全国人口普查相比，各省份常住人口排名有所变化。
前5名中，广东省、山东省、河南省仍牢牢占据前3，但原本第4位的四川已被江苏反超，滑落至第5位。
