呼和浩特市交通运输局近日印发关于进一步加强轨道交通运营安全管理工作的通知，通知显示2021年1月16日12时19分，由于轨道交通设备故障，引起呼和浩特市地铁1、2号线列车运行中断，经应急抢修后于13时开始逐步恢复运营。
经相关单位初步调查，事故直接原因为地铁控制中心整合UPS失电。此次事故造成地铁1号线中断行车35分钟，地铁2号线中断行车51分钟。
