台湾东森新闻云报道称，美国总统就职典礼将于北京时间21日凌晨1时在美国国会西草坪举行，民主党籍拜登及参议员贺锦丽将正式出任美国正副总统。
对此，台湾“驻美代表处”20日宣称，“驻美代表”萧美琴接受第59届美国总统就职典礼主办单位“就职典礼国会联合委员会”邀请，将代表台湾出席祝贺。
