当时，乔斯·奥马尔·德奥利韦拉(Jose Omar de Oliveira)跟朋友正在明杜里市附近的一处开阔地拍摄乌云和太阳同时出现的壮观景象，突然，一道闪电在他面前劈下来，他跟朋友吓得的摔倒在地，所幸二人并没有受伤。
德奥利韦拉先生事后接受媒体采访时说：“我认为是我的手机吸引了它（闪电）。
