IT之家 1 月 14 日消息 根据外媒 The Verge 的消息，首款搭载 DisplayPort 2.0 的显示器预计将于 2021 年晚些时候上市。
VESA 发言人向 The Verge 发表的声明称，支持 DisplayPort 2.0 的显示器目前正在开发中，DisplayPort 2.0 显示器目前正在使用新的系统芯片，预计将于 2021 年晚些时候上市。DisplayPort 2.0 显示器上市的延迟是冠状病毒大流行造成的，2020 年，VESA 没有进行PlugTests，这减缓了 DisplayPort 2.0 的部署。
IT之家了解到，DisplayPort 2.0的目标是支持8K及以上分辨率，DisplayPort 2.0中最快的模式将达到80 Gbps的原始带宽，大约是DisplayPort 1.3/1.4的2.5倍。
DisplayPort 2.0还引入了更有效的编码方案，因此，新标准的有效带宽将达到77.4 Gbps的峰值，是前一个标准的有效带宽的2.98倍。DisplayPort 2.0足够快，不需要任何压缩(包括色度采样)就可以支持8K显示器，不仅如此它还能在30位色彩，HDR开启的情况下支持8K显示。除此之外，DisplayPort 2.0还支持10K显示器在24位色彩下无压缩呈现。
