高原骑兵连新疆拜城县老虎台乡距国境线不到100公里，80%为高寒山区。全国唯一在编的民兵骑兵队驻守于此，每次巡逻七八十公里。人马同时卧倒隐藏、马背上刺杀，是他们的常规训练。骑兵连连长吐尔逊说：“外界觉得骑兵很神秘，但我们就是普普通通的中国人，希望自己的家乡安定团结！”
