在发布会上， 公安部新闻发言人李国忠提到：
今年前8个月， 全国公安机关共有207名民警、102名辅警因公殉职，3198名民警、2571名辅警因公负伤。
我有一壶酒，足以慰风尘。
警中有警令，多年未沾唇。
赤心战魍魉，年损四百人。
巍巍烈士陵，一日一新坟。
壮哉英雄气，正义永长存。
责任励斗志，忠诚铸警魂。
流血又流泪，何时不再闻。
