香港警方8月5日在社交平台发文，指留意到5日下午有网民在网上发布假消息，讹称香港警务处处长邓炳强确诊新冠肺炎。警方严正指出，有关消息毫无事实根据，纯属谣言。
香港警方严厉谴责别有用心之徒唯恐天下不乱，必定严肃跟进。
