7 月 6 日，记者从淮安警方获悉，当天上午 10 时许，淮安市公安机关发现，一名网上通缉逃犯在淮安生态文旅区一居民小区内活动，于是安排警力前往核查。
民警在核查过程中，犯罪嫌疑人马洪兵、马伟兵持刀行凶，造成一名民警和一名辅警重伤，送医院抢救无效牺牲，两名犯罪嫌疑人作案后逃离现场。
目前，警方已发布征集犯罪嫌疑人线索的通报，并加紧追捕。
