2019年12月28日，巴彦淖尔市临河区一住宅小区发生一起坠楼事件，当事人为一名女性家政人员，擦玻璃时坠落。2019年12月29日，记者从巴彦淖尔市医院获悉，经抢救无效，当事人已死亡。
29日一早，记者来到了该小区，一名知情人告诉记者：“28日下午，一住户雇人擦玻璃，没想到16时左右，这名擦玻璃的妇女（大约50岁左右）从4楼掉到了一楼的地上。随后被120急救车送到了医院抢救。”
