10月27日，江西鄱阳湖南矶湿地国家级自然保护区管理局南山管理站工作人员在巡护过程中，对东湖开展鸟类监测时记录到129只小天鹅，这是南矶湿地保护区在今年越冬季首次记录到的。此外，工作人员在东湖还记录了灰鹤、苍鹭、豆雁、鸿雁、灰雁、白额雁、斑嘴鸭等20余个物种共计2000余羽。
