后来随着清朝的灭亡，太监也不再存在，但是这个地方是太监坟场，一般人都不敢到这里住。郭沫若却看中了这个地方，大手一挥就把名字改了。“中官村”变成了“中关村”，给人的感觉，一下子变得高大上起来了，只改了一个字，就有那么大的效果，郭沫若果然不简单。从此这个地方也成为了高新产业的聚集地，现在也还是很有名。
